From the travel agent trade press: Nice France is the latest cruise port to reduce cruise tourist visitations The Nice ban will target cruise ships carrying more than 900 passengers (via Riviera Radio), citing environmental and sustainability concerns. The goal is to restrict port activity so that no such cruise ships arrive after July 1, 2025.

According to the same reports, nearby Cannes is looking at a similar ban.

Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Line, Cunard, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Viking will all be impacted by the decision.
